UAE tax calendar: recurring deadlines and 2026 to 2027 dates

UAE tax deadlines come in two kinds: recurring ones tied to your own tax periods, and fixed dates set by decisions, such as e-invoicing go-live. Missing either is costly. This calendar sets out the recurring rules for VAT and corporate tax, then the specific dates announced for late 2026 and 2027, each with the official source. Put them in your diary, then check the FTA site for announcements, because dates can move.

Recurring deadlines

These repeat every period:

  • VAT returns: usually due within 28 days of the end of the tax period, according to the UAE government portal. Periods are quarterly for turnover below AED 150 million and monthly at or above it, unless the FTA assigns another period.
  • Corporate tax return and payment: within nine months of the end of the tax period.
  • Corporate tax registration for a new UAE company: within three months of incorporation.
  • Resident individuals crossing AED 1 million of business turnover: register by 31 March of the following year.
  • Transfer pricing master and local files, where required: within 30 days of an FTA request.

Keeping every entity on schedule

Deadlines differ by entity when year ends and VAT periods differ. In HelloBooks each company holds its own year end and VAT period, and the AI agent sends reminders ahead of each due date with the current status of the books: unreconciled accounts, unposted bills, missing documents. Ask "what is due in the next 60 days across our companies?" for one list. Filing and payment remain with you or your tax agent on EmaraTax. Partner firms can request a firm-wide deadline view customised to their client list at /book-a-demo.
