Zoho Books comparison

Zoho Books white-label alternative for accounting practices

Zoho Books is capable accounting software inside a wider suite of business apps, and Zoho runs partner and reseller arrangements for accountants. We did not find a public white-label offer for Zoho Books itself. If your firm wants a ledger that clients know by your firm’s name, here is how a HelloBooks license compares.

Zoho Books and its accountant terms

Zoho publishes terms for accountants and partners working with Zoho Books, covering reselling and managing client organizations. The software clients use carries Zoho branding. We found no public white-label option for Books, so firms working with Zoho are generally recommending or reselling a Zoho product.

Zoho’s strength is breadth. Clients who also want CRM, inventory, payroll in supported regions or other Zoho apps can connect them within one ecosystem. For firms whose clients are already invested in Zoho, staying within that suite is often the practical answer.

A HelloBooks ledger under your brand

HelloBooks takes the opposite position on branding. The White-Label License gives clients accounting software with your app name, logo, colors, sign-in page and document templates. Categorization is assisted by AI, bank reconciliation and invoicing are built in, and bills and reports are handled in the same branded product.

Your firm starts on a hellobooks.ai subdomain from the outset. Your own domain and outbound email from your domain are part of full launch, not the current release. One flat monthly fee covers the license and unlimited staff, and a firm console shows the close status of each client company.

Choosing between an ecosystem and an identity

Zoho suits clients who want a broad suite of connected apps from one vendor. HelloBooks suits firms that want the bookkeeping experience to be recognizably theirs. Some firms will place suite-heavy clients on Zoho and service-led bookkeeping clients on a branded ledger.

Each HelloBooks client is on a published plan that your firm gets at a discount, and you set your own fees to clients. The firm owns the data and can export it. HelloBooks is taking on founding firms now, so a pilot with a few clients is possible.

White-label license pricing

One flat license covers your brand, unlimited staff and the firm console. Your clients stay on published HelloBooks plans, and your firm gets 20% off each one. Founding firms go live first on a firm subdomain; your own domain and email from your domain follow at full launch.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can accountants resell Zoho Books under their own name?
Zoho’s published accountant terms describe partner and reseller arrangements, but we did not find a public white-label option for Zoho Books. Confirm directly with Zoho if a private arrangement is something you want to explore.
Does HelloBooks connect to a full business app suite like Zoho?
HelloBooks concentrates on the accounting ledger and the firm’s white-label experience. If a client depends on a wide set of connected business apps from one vendor, that ecosystem may matter more than branding for them.
How do my staff access client books in HelloBooks?
Through the firm console. It lists every client company with its close status, and there is no cap on the number of staff your firm can add under the White-Label License.
Can my firm keep using the free HelloBooks Partner Program too?
The Partner Program and the White-Label License are separate. The Partner Program is free with a reseller discount that grows with client count; the license brands the product as yours. Ask during onboarding which fits each part of your client base.
