Turning scattered tasks into a queue
Without a shared view, staff find waiting items by opening each client in turn and hoping nothing was missed. With the firm console, the count of items waiting sits next to every client company. A glance tells you which clients have a lot outstanding, which have a little and which are clear, and that is the raw material for a working queue.
Most firms read the list from the top down: clients with the most items waiting get attention first, while those with only a few are picked up in quieter moments. Because the numbers come from the books themselves, the queue changes as work gets done, without anyone updating a list by hand.
