What to check before choosing a portal
Start with the depth of branding. Some portals change a logo and colors; others also carry your web address, send email from your domain, or publish a mobile app under your name. Then check where the portal fits in your stack. A portal that handles documents and messages still leaves the books somewhere else, which means a second login for clients.
Finally, look at the commercial shape. Is branding included in the base plan or sold as an add-on? Is the price tied to staff, clients or storage? Write the answers down for each vendor, because marketing pages rarely line them up for you.
- Logo and colors, or a full rebrand?
- Your own web address and sender email?
- Mobile app under the firm’s name?
- Documents only, or the books as well?
- Branding included or charged separately?
