Qoyod alternative UAE: HelloBooks vs Qoyod for Gulf businesses

Qoyod is a Saudi cloud accounting company known for ZATCA e-invoicing compliance. Businesses with operations in both Riyadh and Dubai often ask whether one tool can cover both. On Qoyod’s own site in October 2026, the UAE was marked “Soon” in the country selector. This page explains what Qoyod offers today, what HelloBooks offers for UAE books, and how a two-country group might split the work.

What Qoyod offers, by its own pages

Qoyod’s sectors page describes accounting for business owners and accountants, a point-of-sale system, a restaurant cashier, HR and payroll, CRM and an ERP for larger companies. It calls the product ZATCA-ready and lists official ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing compliance, plus a filing service for VAT and Zakat returns.

The same site names Saudi Arabia as its main market and Jordan as a localised market with JoFotara integration. The UAE and Egypt are both marked “Soon”. We found no UAE VAT 201 or FTA workflow described on the pages we checked.

HelloBooks for the UAE side of the business

HelloBooks is available for UAE businesses now. The AI agent reads Arabic and English bills, posts them with UAE VAT treatment per line, drafts tax invoices with your TRN, matches uploaded bank statements, and prepares the VAT 201 figures for review and filing on EmaraTax by you or your accountant.

Consider a food distributor with a Riyadh company on Qoyod and a new Dubai branch company billing AED 900,000 a year. The Saudi books stay where ZATCA compliance is already built. The Dubai company runs in HelloBooks with AED as base currency, SAR invoices tracked as foreign currency with FX gains and losses, and UAE VAT returns prepared locally. Group reporting can be assembled from both sets of reports.

For UAE e-invoicing, HelloBooks is not an accredited service provider; it keeps the invoice data a business will need, and the business appoints a provider from the Ministry of Finance list. Large businesses go live from 1 January 2027 and others from 1 July 2027.

Which to choose

For a Saudi entity, Qoyod’s ZATCA focus is a real strength, and HelloBooks does not claim ZATCA compliance. For a UAE entity today, Qoyod’s own site says UAE support is coming; HelloBooks covers UAE VAT now. Recheck Qoyod’s UAE status before deciding, as “Soon” may have changed. Groups that need a specific UAE chart of accounts or approval chain can ask for it at /book-a-demo.
