What Odoo documents for the UAE
Odoo’s UAE fiscal localisation page lists three modules: l10n_ae for accounting, l10n_ae_reports for VAT and corporate tax reporting, and l10n_ae_pos for point-of-sale receipts. The chart of accounts is described as aligned with IFRS and FTA requirements, with taxes preset for 5% standard, zero-rated, exempt, import VAT and out-of-scope supplies, and reverse charge handling for imported services.
The VAT201 report covers output VAT, input VAT, reverse charge and zero-rated and exempt sales, and exports to Excel or PDF for manual submission. The corporate tax report has no default account mapping, and the documentation warns that users must classify accounts themselves. Exchange rates can sync with the Central Bank of the UAE, and Arabic can be added as a second language on tax invoices.
