Part of HelloBooks POS · Returns, exchange & loyalty
A loyalty program is a balance-sheet asset only when the data is clean. HelloBooks runs loyalty on the same customer record that drives invoicing — phone is the key, tier is auto-computed from rolling spend, and the tier badge prints on every receipt.
Every detail, dialled in
Built for the till, validated against the canonical accounting engine — so every POS sale closes the books cleanly.
Auto-tier from rolling spend
Each tier has a spend threshold over a rolling window (12 months default). The engine recomputes nightly; promotions and tier-upgrades fire automatically.
- Rolling 12-month spend default
- Tier thresholds configurable
- Auto-upgrade and downgrade
- Customer SMS on upgrade
Tier-aware promotions
The promotion engine respects tier — a “Gold members get 15% off” rule auto-applies at the till for Gold customers. No coupon to type, no membership card to scan.
- Per-tier discount
- Per-tier price list (optional)
- Free shipping / free service per tier
- Tier-only product access
Receipt + UI tier badge
The cashier sees the tier badge on customer lookup; the customer sees it on the receipt. Recognition matters — both as a behaviour reinforcement and as a brand-experience cue.
- Tier badge in cashier UI
- Tier badge on receipt
- Tier badge on customer profile
- Tier-coloured branding
Why teams move off legacy tills
- Loyalty card with separate database
- Tiers manual
- No tier-aware promotions
- Receipt does not show tier
- Customer record drives loyalty
- Auto-tier from spend
- Tier-aware promo engine
- Tier badge on receipt
Questions, answered
How are tier thresholds set?
Per-entity configuration — typical: Bronze 0-25K, Silver 25K-1L, Gold 1L-5L, Platinum 5L+ on rolling 12-month spend. Fully customisable.
Does the tier downgrade?
Yes — if rolling spend drops below threshold. Customer is notified before downgrade with a window to qualify.
What about cross-outlet?
Tier is entity-scoped, not outlet-scoped. Spend at any outlet contributes to the same tier ladder.
Can I run tier-only product launches?
Yes — tier-gated SKUs are supported. Only Platinum customers see the limited edition.
