QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program vs White-Label | HelloBooks Reselling QuickBooks through ProAdvisor pricing keeps clients on the QuickBooks brand. Compare that with licensing a ledger under your firm’s own name.

Reselling or licensing

QuickBooks ProAdvisor program vs white-label: reselling or your own ledger

Many firms already bill clients for QuickBooks through ProAdvisor preferred pricing, which gives a discount when the firm is billed. That arrangement is reselling: the client uses QuickBooks, under the QuickBooks name. Licensing a white-label ledger keeps the firm-billing relationship but changes whose brand the client sees. Here is how the two compare in practice.

Reselling through ProAdvisor pricing

Intuit’s ProAdvisor preferred pricing lets a firm receive a discount on client subscriptions when the firm is billed for them. The firm can then include the software in its own fees. QuickBooks does not offer a white-label version, so clients always see the QuickBooks brand.

This is an established and well-understood model. Clients know the product, staff are often trained on it, and many apps connect to it. Firms that value that familiarity have good reasons to continue. Nothing about a white-label ledger requires abandoning that setup for existing clients.

Licensing a ledger under your brand

With the HelloBooks White-Label License, the firm-billing structure is similar but the product is branded as yours. Each client stays on a published HelloBooks plan, your firm pays a discounted rate on every plan, and you bill clients. What changes is the app name, logo, colors, sign-in page and templates clients see.

The firm also pays a flat monthly license that covers unlimited staff and a console with each client’s close status. Your branded product runs on a hellobooks.ai subdomain from day one, with your own domain and domain-based email following at full launch.

Running the two in parallel

Switching every client at once is rarely wise. Firms often keep established clients on QuickBooks and place clients who are starting fresh, or who want a simpler experience, in the branded ledger. Over time the balance shifts to whatever suits the practice.

In both cases the firm stays in the billing seat. With HelloBooks, the firm also owns client data and can export it. Founding firms are being accepted if you want to test the branded model beside your current setup. Start small and compare how clients respond.

White-label license pricing

One flat license covers your brand, unlimited staff and the firm console. Your clients stay on published HelloBooks plans, and your firm gets 20% off each one. Founding firms go live first on a firm subdomain; your own domain and email from your domain follow at full launch.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ProAdvisor pricing let me rename QuickBooks for my clients?
No. ProAdvisor preferred pricing is a discount when the firm is billed, and QuickBooks has no white-label edition. Intuit’s help article, linked below, sets out the current terms.
Is billing clients for software similar under both models?
Broadly yes. In both, the firm is billed and passes the cost on. With HelloBooks, you pay a flat license plus discounted client plans, and you set the fee the client sees.
Will clients notice a difference moving to a branded ledger?
They will see your firm’s app name and sign-in page instead of a vendor brand. The daily tasks, such as categorizing, reconciling and invoicing, remain familiar bookkeeping steps.
Which clients should move to a white-label ledger first?
Clients who are beginning bookkeeping with you, or who rely on you heavily each month, tend to be the simplest to start. Clients deeply tied to integrations may be better left where they are for now.
