What does the $199 Essentials plan include?

The Essentials plan covers one company with up to 2 years of history and about 2,000 transactions: chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items, open invoices and bills, opening balances, bank accounts set up, one reconciliation checked with you, and a 30-minute handover call.

What if my books are bigger than that?

Tell us about your books in the form and we will send a fixed quote before any work starts. Longer history, several companies, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, payroll history and inventory costing are all quoted per job.

Do I have to cancel QuickBooks first?

No. Keep QuickBooks running while we migrate. You only switch over once you have checked your books in HelloBooks and signed off.

How long does it take?

The Essentials plan typically takes about 5 business days from when we receive your QuickBooks file. Larger migrations get a timeline with their quote.

Can I migrate myself for free instead?

Yes. Moving yourself is free on any HelloBooks plan: US businesses can use the built-in QuickBooks importer, and everyone can use the CSV import with our templates. Our step-by-step guide walks you through it. The paid service is for people who would rather have a specialist do the work and check the balances.

Do you need my QuickBooks password?

No. We work from an export of your QuickBooks company file, which you send us.
