India · WhatsApp Business API

Do your books over WhatsApp — Munimji answers in Hindi or English.

Send a bill photo, ask "GST due this month?", file GSTR-1 from a chat — Munimji is the WhatsApp-native bookkeeping agent that writes to your real HelloBooks ledger. Hindi, English, Hinglish, voice notes. No app to install.

  • Hindi · English · Hinglish
  • Voice notes supported
  • Photo OCR for bills
  • WhatsApp Business API
  • Writes to a real double-entry ledger

Three things no spreadsheet, no bot, and no other accounting app does.

Munimji is not a menu-driven chatbot. It reads your ledger, takes actions, and replies in the language your team actually uses.

  • Photo capture

Send a bill photo, we book the entry.

Snap the supplier invoice, the petrol bill, the chai-shop receipt — Munimji extracts vendor, GSTIN, date, line items and tax, then drafts the journal entry into the right ledger. Confirm or correct in the same chat.

  • Real answers

Ask 'GST due this month?' — Munimji checks your books.

No menus, no FAQ bot. Munimji reads your live ledger and replies with the real number: how much GST is payable, how many invoices are overdue, what petrol spending looked like last quarter.

  • Voice + Hinglish

Voice messages OK — speak in Hinglish.

Record a voice note in Hindi, English or Hinglish. Munimji transcribes, understands, and acts. Better for the field — at a vendor visit, on the road, between stores.

In the chat

What a Munimji conversation actually looks like.

Three real-world flows. Real entries hit your books in the time it takes to type a reply.

  • #1

    Bill photo → booked entry

  • #2

    GST in plain Hindi

  • #3

    Voice → invoice

What you can do

Twelve things real users ask Munimji on WhatsApp.

Type it, or paste it into your WhatsApp chat with the HelloBooks number. The list is illustrative — Munimji handles thousands of variants of these in Hindi, English and Hinglish.

  • 1“how much did I spend on petrol last month”
  • 2“show overdue invoices”
  • 3“file GSTR-1 for this month”
  • 4“record this bill (photo attached)”
  • 5“create invoice for Sharma Traders, ₹45,000, GST 18%”
  • 6“kitna GST bharna hai is mahine?”
  • 7“top 5 customers by sales this quarter”
  • 8“send a payment reminder to Patel & Co”
  • 9“what is my bank balance across all accounts”
  • 10“list bills awaiting approval”
  • 11“profit and loss for last financial year”
  • 12“export ITC ledger for my CA”

How it works

From zero to your first WhatsApp entry in under 3 minutes.

  1. 1

    Link your WhatsApp number.

From the HelloBooks app, scan a QR or click "Add WhatsApp number" and confirm an OTP. Each team member links their own number.

  2. 2

    Send the OPT-IN message.

WhatsApp Business API requires a one-time opt-in. Reply "YES" to the welcome message. This is a Meta rule, not ours — it keeps spam off the platform.

  3. 3

    Ask anything, send anything.

Text, voice, photos, PDFs — all work. Munimji answers within seconds, drafts entries, and updates the ledger live.

  4. 4

    See it in HelloBooks.

Every chat-driven action shows up in the HelloBooks web and mobile app, audit-tagged "via WhatsApp". Your CA, your team, and your reports stay in sync.

Frequently asked

  • Do I need to install an app?

No. Munimji runs inside WhatsApp on the phone you already use. Open a chat with the HelloBooks WhatsApp number, opt in once, and start sending bills, photos or questions like any other contact. The same conversation history shows up inside the HelloBooks web and mobile app.

  • Can Munimji really read a bill photo?

Yes. Send a photo of a tax invoice, purchase bill or kacha pavti and Munimji extracts the supplier, GSTIN, date, line items and tax. It posts a draft entry into HelloBooks against the right ledger and replies in the chat with what it recorded. Confirm or correct from WhatsApp — no spreadsheet, no app switching.

  • Does it work in Hindi or Hinglish?

Yes. Munimji understands Hindi (Devanagari), Hinglish (Hindi typed in English letters), and English. Ask "is mahine ki GST kitni hai?" and you get a real number, not a polite apology. Voice notes in any of these languages work too.

  • Can I file GSTR-1 or GSTR-3B from WhatsApp?

You can review the prepared return, ask Munimji to fix mismatches, and trigger the file action from WhatsApp. The actual GSTN OTP is collected through the HelloBooks app for security — Munimji deep-links you to the OTP screen so you stay in flow.

  • Is my data safe? Does it leave India?

WhatsApp messages with Munimji are end-to-end encrypted in transit. Your bookkeeping data stays in HelloBooks on India-region storage. We use the official WhatsApp Business API via a Meta-approved BSP — no third-party scraping, no unofficial bots.

  • Outside India — does this work?

Munimji branding and Hindi support are India-first. In other regions, HelloBooks ships the same WhatsApp assistant as your Bookkeeper, Procurement or Finance Agent — same capabilities, English-only, with country-specific compliance (GST/VAT/BAS/Sales Tax) instead of GSTR.

  • Who in my team can use Munimji on WhatsApp?

Anyone you grant access to. Each team member opts in from their own WhatsApp number; Munimji enforces the same role permissions as the HelloBooks app — your sales team can raise invoices, your purchase team can record bills, your CA can pull reports.

  • How is this different from Khatabook or BharatPe books?

Munimji writes to a full double-entry ledger — every WhatsApp chat updates the same books your CA files GSTR-1 and ITR from. Khatabook is a personal udhar-bahi; BharatPe books is settlement-focused. Munimji is a real accounting agent that happens to live in WhatsApp.
