Delete Your HelloBooks Account
We're sorry to see you go. Here’s how you can proceed with account deletion.
1. In the App
The most straightforward way to delete your account is directly within the HelloBooks application.
- Navigate to: Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the deletion.
- Your account and associated personal/business data will be scheduled for permanent deletion.
2. Request via Email
If you prefer, you can request deletion by sending an email to our support team.
- Send an email to support@hellobooks.app.
- Use the subject line: "Delete My Account".
- Important: Please send the request from the same email address you used to register your HelloBooks account.
Upon successful deletion, we will permanently remove the following data associated with your account:
- Personal details (name, email, organization, entity info)
- Financial and accounting data (invoices, quotes, transactions, purchase orders, receipts)
- Attachments and all other uploaded documents
- Integration tokens and settings
For legal and compliance reasons, we are required to retain certain records. The following data may be kept for a period of up to 7 years to comply with tax, audit, and other applicable laws:
- Anonymized financial transaction records necessary for legal compliance.
- Records of payments made for our services.
After this retention period, this data will also be permanently deleted.
